Doing Something Different

As you may or may not know I am a little odd. I’ve been called ‘eccentric’, ‘weird’ and ‘crazy’ many times by many people. I don’t take that as an insult and maybe that makes me weird, I don’t know. I like to think I’m different, I know everyone likes to think they are different and special though. I guess I’m just a little more different, more out there in left field picking dandelions and calling them roses.

Finishing Novels

So much to do so little time. I have lost the concept of free time, there is time at work and then there is time working at home. If I’m not working on something at home I’m slacking (not relaxing) the same way one would slack at a job.  It’s kind of stressful but I manage I guess, this is the life I’m cursed with, might as well live it to the fullest.

Imagine a world where your every move was tracked, where there were multiple databases of your bio-metric data, from your face to your voice. There were programs that could replicate your face and voice making a digital copy of you that was nearly impossible to distinguish from the real. Every communication was tracked and logged while powerful super AI’s worked to predict and figure out how best to sell you junk.

What is Your Dream?

I was having a discussion with a friend of mine about the merits of working and what we would do if money was no object. If, for example, the government started a true universal basic income plan and everyone was handed enough money to buy food and pay rent on a good place, what would people do?  He was convinced that people would despair and waste away but I thought differently.
