Made A Video, Don’t Know Why

Made A Video, Don’t Know Why

Maybe it’s a matter of thinking about weather or not I could do something instead of if I should do something, or just because I wanted a break from writing but I managed to upload a video.  Anyone who knows about self hosting will know that this is a kind of tricky thing, they will also know that this is kind of a bad idea (RIP bandwidth), but I wanted to give it a try.  This will probably be the only video I host here and I’ll probably delete it.  It was more of a test case than anything else, so please let me know how it works in the comments. Heading to War Means Good Music

Heading to War Means Good Music

I try my best not to follow the news, but the news seems to follow me.  As hard as I try to stay out of everything I just can’t.  Maybe it’s the reddit posts that make it to the front page (and the fact that I can’t be bothered to make an account and unsubscribe from defaults), maybe it’s my Facebook feed full of articles, maybe it’s a morbid interest, but I can’t avoid it.  I used to follow the news a lot closer but I got sick of it, it only made me anxious and worried and didn’t inform me like the news media is supposed to do. Finding a Reason

Finding a Reason

Finding a reason for what I do is probably the most difficult thing for me.  Difficult because the reasons are not always something easily visible, or even things I think of beforehand.  Difficult because I often forget (or lose sight of) the reason I’m doing something.  I have a lot of things that I take on, different projects and ideas and hobbies I pursue.  Sometimes I get lost in the weeds and end up unable to do anything, sometimes I forget the reason I do anything.  Sometimes it all falls apart and I forget what’s important. Fake News: I don’t know what’s Real Anymore

Fake News: I don’t know what’s Real Anymore

I was originally going to write a post about privacy in the digital age.  I was going to rant and rave about how “having nothing to hide” is not an excuse to ignore your privacy, but I think the topic of fake news is more important. Continue reading →
